Just got a pack of Lamy’s proprietary ink cartridges in Violet. Apparently this is the ONLY way to get Lamy’s violet ink; it’s not offered in bottles, and I’ve been searching for a bright vivid purple that’s lighter than the most popular purples, and not too blue or too pink.
I do like this color a lot, but I’m kind of relieved it isn’t exactly what I’m looking for so I won’t be gnashing my teeth about only being able to get it in cartridges.
It does have some pretty shading, though and I love how big Lamy’s cartridges are so I can see myself keeping a stock of Violet cartridges around. I don’t like it enough to suck it out of cartridges with a syringe just so I can put it in a non-Lamy pen, but it will hold me over until i can find the “perfect” bottled purple.
