I’ve been away from home for almost a month. Of course I brought a lot of pens and ink, but not enough for WEEKS of writing, working, journaling, doodling, listing and planning.
So! Looks like it’s time to crack out my first OOLY fountain pen purchased “over-the-counter” (as I like to call disposably-made-and/or-priced pens available at brick and mortar stores). I picked up this purple “Splendid Pen” at a bookstore in my mom’s town, whose house I’ve been at during this time of her surgery for pancreatic cancer and subsequent recovery.

I wasn’t sure how long I’d be away (I’m *still* not sure how long I’ll be gone), so I failed to pack more cartridges; lugging (a) bottle(s) of ink on my journey here wasn’t practical riding buses and ferries across multiple bodies of water and counties with my overstuffed heavy old backpack with the seams coming apart, so I appreciate being able to procure a cheap stopgap pen — complete with THREE cartridges — while I determine whether to order a stock of ink and other fountain supplies to keep permanently on hand here at my mom’s place.
Any thoughts on OOLY brand fountain pens and art supplies? Should I do a full review of this OOLY Splendid Pen?
