I’m late to the AI-generated art party having just installed an accessible mobile way to play with it last night. But I like how it turns treasured descriptors into dreamy visual mockups of things I desire: like desks, office/study/libraries/private-writing rooms, and accoutrements.
Surreal fantasy images of generated by my imagination and AI (“Dream” app by WOMBO)
When I punched in my prompts (including key words inspired by this Big Blonde desk), I really wasn’t expecting the lush images I received back. Like this Cthulhu-esque character commandeering an elaborate organ-like desk setup:
I guess you have to expect Cthulhu when you use the Steampunk style option.
Sure, I would like the machines to produce stuff more exactly to my specifications, but it IS pretty amazing how quickly suggesting a string of imaginative nonsense words returns decadent super-textured images; it’s very stimulating and rewarding. Makes for excellent dream fodder. I also kind of like how it kicks out “trading card” style images, plus you can order prints! They’re not cheap BUT if I could afford it, they’d be better as vision boards (as goal-clarifying reminders and inspiration, less than law of attraction self-sabotage) than cutting stuff out of magazines.
What do you think?
