Received my first spilled-in-shipment fountain pen ink package today:
Feeling pretty fortunate this has never happened to me before (that I can remember), and with this it is just samples (not a compromised bottle).
They (Goulet Pen Co. in this case) really do an awesome job with packing so this was securely contained in a ziploc and limited just to the sample vials; everything else in my box arrived in pristine condition.
“Spill” is honestly too dramatic a word, anyway. It appears one vial *leaked* a bit; I can’t even tell which one because the ink levels still all look pretty much the same in all of the vials:
Anyway … I’m pretty stoked about my purchases and eager to try things out. I have a couple other orders on the way and feel like it’s time to take PleasureWriting.com to the next fun level.
Obviously I am still working on identifying the perfect green ink. I’d love to close out 2023 having at least half a dozen favorite colors and basic staple inks in my personal supply; a bright vivid poison-sticker green is vital to my journaling joy and I *still* haven’t found anything that fits the bill. Every green I’ve tried that’s available in bottles has been darker than I crave.
