Wanting to run this not-so-great green ink out of my pen so I can put in a green I like better: a perfect excuse to make poison smoke drift across the page.

Journaling is the perfect sanctuary of freedom for people who may not count themselves as artists or writers;t a spiral-bound notebook we can buy at the grocery store let’s us enjoy lines, shapes and colors however we want. No expectations. Nobody else’s standards to live up to. Nobody else’s lines or shapes telling us where we can put color and where we cannot, or what the boundaries of our imagination or half-formed whims can be.
Fountain pens are great re-usable refillable implements for smooth-pouring shapes and vivid color onto a page. Without having to carry around a bunch of art supplies, or “waste” all of the ink in a disposable plastic felt-tip pen.
I could look at the color green all day and not get bored. Especially when it seems to just flow from my fingertip.
